We study the potential theory of a large class of infinite dimensional Lévy processes, including Brownian motion on abstract Wiener spaces. The key result is the construction of compact Lyapunov functions, i.e., excessive functions with compact level sets. Then many techniques from classical potential theory carry over to this infinite dimensional setting. Thus a number of potential theoretic properties and principles can be proved, answering long standing open problems even for the Brownian motion on abstract Wiener space, as, e.g., formulated by R. Carmona in 1980. In particular, we prove the analog of the known result, that the Cameron-Martin space is polar, in the Lévy case and apply the technique of controlled convergence to solve the Dirichlet problem with general (not necessarily continuous) boundary data.  相似文献

We characterize disjoint hypercyclicity and disjoint supercyclicity of finitely many linear fractional composition operators acting on spaces of holomorphic functions on the unit disc, answering a question of Bernal-González. We also study mixing and disjoint mixing behavior of projective limits of endomorphisms of a projective spectrum. In particular, we show that a linear fractional composition operator is mixing on the projective limit of the Sv spaces strictly containing the Dirichlet space if and only if the operator is mixing on the Hardy space.  相似文献

We investigate the asymptotic behavior of the eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions of q‐Sturm‐Liouville eigenvalue problems. For this aim we study the asymptotic behavior of q‐trigonometric functions as well as fundamental sets of solutions of the associated second order q‐difference equation. As in classical Sturm‐Liouville theory, the eigenvalues behave like zeros of q‐trigonometric functions and the eigenfunctions behave like q‐trigonometric functions. © 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. We prove the existence of series ∑anψn, whose coefficients (an) are in ∩p>1?p and whose terms (ψn) are translates by rational vectors in Rd of a family of approximations to the identity, having the property that the partial sums are dense in various spaces of functions such as Wiener’s algebra W(C0,?1), Cb(Rd), C0(Rd), Lp(Rd), for every p∈[1,), and the space of measurable functions. Applying this theory to particular situations, we establish approximations by such series to solutions of the heat and Laplace equations as well as to probability density functions.  相似文献

A special case of Haiman?s identity [M. Haiman, Vanishing theorems and character formulas for the Hilbert scheme of points in the plane, Invent. Math. 149 (2002) 371–407] for the character of the quotient ring of diagonal coinvariants under the diagonal action of the symmetric group yields a formula for the bigraded Hilbert series as a sum of rational functions in q,t. In this paper we show how a summation identity of Garsia and Zabrocki for Macdonald polynomial Pieri coefficients can be used to transform Haiman?s formula for the Hilbert series into an explicit polynomial in q,t with integer coefficients. We also provide an equivalent formula for the Hilbert series as the constant term in a multivariate Laurent series.  相似文献

This article presents a Taylor collocation method for the approximate solution of high‐order linear Volterra‐Fredholm integrodifferential equations with linear functional arguments. This method is essentially based on the truncated Taylor series and its matrix representations with collocation points. In this study, a Hermite matrix method is presented to solve high‐order linear Fredholm integro‐differential equations with variable coefficients under the mixed conditions in terms of the Hermite polynomials. The proposed method converts the equation and its conditions to matrix equations, which correspond to a system of linear algebraic equations with unknown Hermite coefficients, by means of collocation points on a finite interval. Then, by solving the matrix equation, the Hermite coefficients and the polynomial approach are obtained. Also, examples that illustrate the pertinent features of the method are presented; the accuracy of the solutions and the error analysis are performed. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
